We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced a Project Manager to join our expanding projects team in Surrey. In this challenging role, you will be leading the successful implementation and delivery of large and complex Oil & Gas Projects. We are currently looking to fill a Project Manager Position within our Firm located in Surrey, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish Project execution Plans
  • Co-ordinate the work of multi-discipline engineering resources and suppliers
  • Monitor and maintain project schedules
  • Oversee project procurement and maintain budgets
  • Prepare regular comprehensive status reports
  • Manage project scope and changes
  • Oversee and co-ordinate quality control activities, including managing inspection schedules and quality records
  • Communicate effectively with the project team, sponsor, client, suppliers, and other key stakeholders
  • Review engineering deliverables to ensure they meet project requirements
  • Plan, execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget
  • Define the projectís process objectives throughout its life cycle
  • Direct and manage project scope and deliverables from beginning to end
  • Prepare conceptual project designs, reports, and proposals for process systems, structures, and equipment
  • Review and preparation of project control documents and status reports
  • Travel about 25% of the time is required within North America and Africa to meet with vendors and clients
  • Working with clients to understand their challenges and the scope of their requirements
  • Accountable for all aspects of the project including: safety, set-up, invoice review, time entry approvals, reports, scope, schedule, budget and quality
  • Develop proposals by interacting with team members to define the scope, schedules and cost estimates associated with the work

Key Qualifications:

  • Project Management experience in oil and gas is a must
  • Process and Mechanical Industrial Engineering Degree or PMP designation
  • 10 years minimum experience directly managing engineering and construction projects, major pipelines and oil & gas handling facility
  • Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Project, and other MS Office software
  • Working knowledge of various engineering disciplines and manufacturing techniques
  • Experience with the development of process plant layouts and equipment
  • Experience in the specification, evaluation and documentation of process equipment
  • Ability to work effectively with other project manage change in project schedules and resources
  • Professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing E, EP, EPCM and EPC contract delivery
